IS VAPING RIGHT FOR ME?

If you’re an adult smoker looking to quit or reduce the amount you’re smoking then the answer is yes – vaping is a valid option for you to start your journey towards becoming a non-smoker.

Non-smokers should not take up nicotine in any form. The addictiveness of nicotine as provided by vaping devices is as yet not fully understood, but it should be assumed that it does have the potential to cause dependence in non-smokers.

WHAT DOES VG AND PG STAND FOR?

PG (Propylene Glycol)and VG (Vegetable Glycerin) are the liquids that help burn the nicotine to vapour. They are both recognised as safe by the Food Standards Agency and are in many processed foods and cosmetics.

PG is tasteless and derived from plants. It is used in baked goods, medicines and cosmetics. The liquid is thinner than VG and so produces less vapour. PG produces more throat hit that is similar to smoking a regular cigarette. It is better suited to lower powered devices and can carry a higher nicotine content. One of the downsides of a high PG e-liquid is that it may cause some throat dryness

VG tastes a little sweet but the flavour is too small for most people to detect. It’s used in baked goods, sweeteners, and as a filler in foods. The liquid is thicker which helps to produce lots of vapour and, as it’s the vapour that carries the flavour, high VG vape juice provides a more intense taste sensation. The vapour also carries the nicotine, so vapers who prefer high VG liquids generally opt for lower nicotine strength. In order to produce the large vape clouds, more power is required so you should consider more powerful hardware to heat the VG effectively.

WHEN SHOULD I CHANGE MY COIL?

Coils need to be changed periodically, with the length of time between changes depending on a number of factors:

The amount of device use, power settings, chosen e-liquid, and other variables, all affect the lifespan of the coil.

Whenever you encounter a burnt or poor taste from your atomiser, you should change your coil.

HOW DO I PRIME MY COIL?

Before you fire your device up, it’s important to prime your coil by following these steps:

  • Drip some e-liquid into the holes in the top and the side of the coil, allowing the cotton inside soak it up between drips.
  • Refit the coil and fill your tank with vape juice
  • Allow to sit for a few minutes to soak
  • Take a few ‘Primer Puffs’ by pulling on the atomiser as if you were vaping but WITHOUT firing the device
  • If your device has adjustable power, turn it to a low setting and fire it there
  • Work the power higher at intervals until you are back to your preferred power level
  • Well done! You should now have successfully primed your coil!

WHAT ARE NICOTINE SALTS?

Nic Salts are the exact same form of nicotine found in tobacco. It’s a common misconception that nicotine is the main danger in cigarettes, however, nicotine is an addictive chemical that carries far fewer toxins than tobacco. Tobacco, the main body of the cigarette is what poses the most health risks.

Nicotine Salts (Nic Salts) is the natural state of nicotine that is blended with liquid, thus creating a suitable e-liquid that can be vaped. The nicotine in Nic Salts is better absorbed into the bloodstream unlike that of distilled nicotine in typical e-liquid. This is because the ‘salts’ alter the PH level of liquid which is more compatible with human physiology and allows for better absorption.

Just like e-liquid, Nic Salts carry far fewer toxins than cigarettes and are fully TPD compliant under EU/UK regulations.

HOW DO I USE NICOTINE SHOTS?
